Mayor Tom Canterbury

Welcome to Milton!

If this is your first visit, you will find many unique shops throughout the City. Just outside of our city limits, you will find the Milton Flea Market as well as the famous Blenko Glass Factory and Visitor Center which is known throughout the world.

Milton is home to April Dawn Park which includes a spray ground and skate park. On a hot summer day the park is full of kids attempting to cool off with a quick spray. The City hosts many special events at the park, such as our 4th of July Celebration, a Halloween Party, and our Christmas in the Park. You may also want to visit the Korean War-era jet on display along US Rt. 60. After a long day of playing in the park or shopping, you won’t have any trouble finding a place to refuel – whether it is the gas tank or your stomach.

Milton is also home to the Cabell County Fair and the West Virginia Pumpkin Festival, both of which are held at Pumpkin Park just outside our city limits. The park is home of the Historic Covered Bridge.

Just to the east, you will find Union Baptist Church, once used as a garrison to protect the bridge during the Civil War. Continuing east, you will find the Morris Memorial Property, once a Children’s Polio Hospital and adjacent property, which is currently available for development.

We hope you enjoy your visit to our little City. For those who have been “Miltonians” for years, you know exactly what we mean when we say this is a great place to live and raise a family. We hope to see you again soon!
