As Mayor of the City of Milton, I want to welcome you to our rapidly growing City. What makes Milton so great? We have a police department like no other, offering the service of 10 officers and a K9 and, as Mayor, I assure you that our City is one of the safest in the State. It is evident as you drive through our City that our public works department does a great job keeping up with all the projects mentioned below. They are an important part of all that goes on behind the scenes. Then there is the office staff that keeps everything else operating smoothly. Together they make our City work and function great!

Then we have our wonderful, caring community. People who take care of and watch out for each other whether young or old. As we say around here “It is a great place to live and raise a family.”

Exciting things are happening in our city. We are growing and our future is bright!

Our City offers many opportunities for events, shopping
and recreation such as: Cabell County Fair; WV Pumpkin
Festival; Halloween, Old-Fashioned Anniversary, and Christmas in the Park, Veteran’s Memorial Park, April Dawn Park with spray ground and skate park, Blenko Glass Factory and Visitor Center, Milton Flea Market, plus many other antique and specialty shops.

If that isn’t exciting enough let me mention the Grand Patrician Resort. This development of the former Morris Memorial Nursing Home and adjoining acreage that is currently under construction on the east end of Milton. This resort will include trails, an amphitheater, soccer fields, ballfield complex, indoor multi-sport facility, Par 3 golf course with members clubhouse, sports bar restaurant, resort hotel with conference room, restaurant and wedding chapel, office building/clinic and various housing such as single-family lots, condos, etc.

We are also working on improvements to Main Street. We received some wonderful plans from local business owners to add additional parking as well as rehabilitate two of our existing old buildings giving them new life once again.
​
We have ongoing projects to improve our City and provide safer roads and sidewalks, non-motorized trails linking to the new resort, updated infrastructure and improving stormwater infiltration. So many things we, as individuals, take for granted but projects the City must constantly upgrade in order to provide our community and residents with excellent services.
We are always working for tomorrow, setting new goals for our City to provide a great future for our residents and businesses. We are growing, and our future is bright, very bright!
